Awards
Joan Brewer Award
The Joan Brewer Award is
made to a person giving outstanding service to teacher librarianship and/or
school libraries in South Australia.
Please consider whether you know a teacher librarian who would be a worthy recipient by perhaps thinking about the following questions. Have you worked with or know a teacher librarian who is inspiring, supportive and mentors others in the profession? Have you admired a teacher librarian's commitment to advocating for the profession? Do you know a teacher librarian who attends and accepts leadership roles in hub groups or other professional organisations? Have you been encouraged by a teacher librarian to participate in professional development and then helped to implement change or new strategies in your teaching and learning programme? These are the kind of qualities found in a recipient of the Joan Brewer Award.
