We are also providing 2 sessions in addition to the tour

Empowering Students: Library and Research Skills
Developing a directory for SA school library staff

Learn about tried-and-true strategies for teaching essential library and research skills to students which foster independent learning and critical thinking. Also hear about some of the wonderful companies, associations and the “who to contact when…” for SA school library staff.

Leading Literacies for Future-Ready Schools: Empowering site and education leaders to shape whole-school cultures of reading, media literacy, and critical information in the age of AI.

Dr Margaret Merga: Leading school reading cultures to promote and sustain student literacy

Dr Kay Oddone: Leading ethical AI integration across policy, pedagogy and technology

Dr Stephanie Smith: The future is Media Literacy

Megan Daley: The skill and the will; reading for pleasure and the science of reading.

This is an invitation to hear from Australian leading researchers and educators about ways to lead your school community in becoming thoughtful, discerning participants in an increasingly complex digital world.
