About Us

The School Library Association of South Australia (SLASA) represents and supports the interests of school library personnel and students across all education sectors in South Australia through advocacy, professional development and communication.

Vision Statement

SLASA continues to: 

    • be a strong advocate for school libraries and their importance to contemporary  learning, and;
    • provide a dynamic professional community for school library staff including access to high quality professional learning, resources and informed research.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to support and advocate for school libraries and school library staff. To ensure every school learner has access to a well-resourced library with qualified staff. 

Constitution

SLASA has represented and supported the interests of school library personnel and school libraries across all education sectors in SA through advocacy, professional development and communication for over 50 years.

The work of SLASA is underpinned by the Constitution of the School Library Association of South Australia Incorporated (SLASA).
