Library Advocate Award

This award is to encourage library staff to further develop their professional learning and recognise the positive contribution they have made to their school community.

This award is open to any library staff working in a school library. The nominee will need to be able to demonstrate engagement with their school community, wider networks, online forums, and attendance or engagement with professional learning.

Regional Excellence in School Libraries Award

This inaugural award is to encourage library staff to further develop their professional learning and recognise the positive contribution they have made to their school community.

This award is open to any regional/remote library staff working in a school library. The nominee/s will need to be able to demonstrate engagement with their school community, wider networks, online forums, and attendance or engagement with professional learning.
(Regional / remote is deemed as 50 km or more from the Adelaide CBD within South Australia).

Innovation in School Libraries Award

Awarded to individuals/teams that have introduced initiatives that promote outstanding library service and positive learning opportunities to their school community.

Joan Brewer Award

The Joan Brewer Award is made to a person giving outstanding service to teacher librarianship and/or school libraries in South Australia.

Life Membership

Life Membership is conferred on a SLASA member who, in the considered judgment of the Awards Committee, has made a significant and lasting contribution to the Association and the field of teacher librarianship over a number of years.
