Advocacy SLASA is the ‘Voice for School Libraries’ in SA. We promote the importance of school libraries and the impact that qualified staff have on students learning and teachers. We support campaign projects and activities that help members to advocate for school libraries. SLASA continues to advocate for adequate staffing and funding in School Libraries in many areas, such as politicians, principals and within the community. Students Need School Libraries. SLASA partners with Student Need School Libraries and has committee members with leading roles in the National campaign which informs and engages with parents about school libraries to spark them into action to advocate at their child’s school.
